How many of you have built a wall around yourself, never wanting to explore the unknown or see what’s on the other side of that wall?

I believe most people do not want to see what’s on the other side of that wall because they choose to remain in their prison called, comfortability.

I used to be paralyzed with anxiety when I was faced to do things I was uncomfortable with. But now, I seek new adventures and experiences that will take me out of my comfort zone. I am making myself comfortable with being uncomfortable.

I do believe that life does begin at the end of our comfort zone, so break down those walls of comfort. There is so much more for you to explore and experience. Once you decide to get out of your comfort zone, you will ask why you didn’t do this earlier. I am not saying it’s going to be an easy thing to get used too. It will take some practice. It’s like a muscle, and you have to work on it daily for it to grow and get stronger. God knows how many times I have been in an uncomfortable position. But by going through those uncomfortable positions, I’ve built and grown that muscle. I like it and know that I am pushing myself to new limits in the process.

I went to travel to Australia by myself and I wanted to get out of my comfort zone. The first day I arrived, I decided to stay at a Hostel in a room with nine other strangers that were from around the world. I was out all day and ended up partying till the early morning. I got into my bottom bunk and passed out right away. All of a sudden, I awoke because my bed was shaking. Was there an earthquake, I thought to myself. It was not an earthquake, and it was people fucking on the top bunk. I couldn’t believe it. I think I was more shocked then pissed. The only thing I was pissed off at is that my sleep was ruined but hey I was the one that chose to stay in a room with nine other strangers. I laugh every time I think about it.

By choosing to get out of my comfort zone, I met many people from around the world along with people who helped me get to places I needed to go. If I did not put myself in uncomfortable situations, I don’t believe my experiences would have been as amazing as some of them had turned out. Getting out of your comfort zone is where the real magic happens. So start creating some magical moments, experiences, and lasting memories.
