Do I wait for life just to happen to me?
Do I choose to create the life I want on my terms?
These are two very powerful questions because it will make you look at your life in a way that you never did before. And you may come to a realization that you didn’t even know you had a choice in the matter. An indicator that you wait for life just to happen to you is when you say the following things:
I will wait until the next opportunity, that way I will be ready
I will wait until the right opportunity comes knocking at my door
I will wait until I’m in better shape to join that fitness group
I will wait until I’m skinner or fitter to go on dates
I will wait until I am asked to go to social events
I will wait until I am older to enjoy life
I will wait until I am retired to travel
I will wait until I have enough money
I will wait until I have enough skills
I will wait until I get more experience to apply for that job
I will wait until my kids get older to start fulfilling my dreams
I will wait until the shit falls from the sky right onto my lap
I will wait ……………………………….
The list goes on and on. And before you know it you have waited too long, the shipped has sailed. You have wasted your life and never fulfilled your true potential. Feelings of regret submerge and the shoulda, coulda, woulda kicks in and you shoulda of all over yourself.
Don’t wait for life just to happen to you. Seriously ask yourself the above questions. If after you ask yourself these questions and realize that you are a waiter and want to change, take the time to find out what kind of life you want to create. Ask yourself the following questions:
What is my purpose in life?
What is my why? (Your reason for doing things. What motivates you to do things)
What is my passion?
What makes me fulfilled?
What would I enjoy doing even if I didn’t get paid for it?
What can I do to grow and develop myself?
What coaches and mentors can advise and guide me along the way?
How can I contribute back to society?
Remember a road to someday, leads to a town to nowhere. You always have a choice to wait or create. Choose the latter because it is never to late to start living a life you were destined to live. A fulfilled life, one that is of joy, happiness, love, continuous growth and development.
